The Blue Shawl

20 May

A year ago the news that rocked our world,

then such a fight for life,

how could we lose?

but not a year had passed and you were gone.

and we are still in disbelief,

but Moy, I borrowed your blue shawl

and climbed a Jordan mountain wearing it

then visited an old Egyptian souk.

it’s been to Alexandria, Port Said

and on a Red Sea coral diving boat

in memory of you.

Where next? Just wait and see.

How beautiful to carry your friend’s shawl with you! Very touching and lovely! ❤;^) Aisha (aka Kathleen – it was your name and poem of egypt that hooked me, I think we have many things, including age, in common!)

Hello Aisha, so pleased you stopped by. The poem is in memory of my sister, who sadly passed away this year. Thank you for your kind comment.
